We really wanted to do this with the PS2. But now Apple has realised a successful e-distribution program, it’s about time we made our move, too.

Yeah, Apple is doing it with music and trouncing us mercilessly in the process, because we were unable to update our antiquidated business model, so we’ll go and do just that with the world of online gaming.

Obviously, Sony still suffers from Apple envy.

Maybe someone told him that the iTunes Music Store allows you to download free music, because I honestly don’t understand how that comparison works.

I’m not sure MS has reason to make Live free.

I’m just saying if that Sony gives them one, they will. I don’t doubt that Sony’s service will have its own growing pains like Live did, but Sony is definitely aiming to match Live. Once they come close, Microsoft will turn on a dime— it’s 100% certain. So it makes little sense for Sony to dangle this out like it means anything. But then, very little about the PS3 makes sense.
