F13 received word from a source with the trust-inspiring codename “Shiznitz” that Vivendi, owners of Blizzard, gave a presentation to Wall Street. In this presentation, it was supposedly said that thanks to World of Warcraft, Vivendi has a cunning plan that will allow them to produce MMOGs of similar quality for $50 million and a three-year dev cycle.

And they’re going to do it with all Blizzard franchises. Which really means Starcraft and Diablo.

Blizzard, on the other hand, denies vehemently that they are working on any such project.

Analysis: If you want to work on World of Starcraft, send your application to Vivendi.

Right now, there are only two unanswered questions in gaming.

Question One: “At some time in the past did Blue say to Mike Martinez, ‘I can never thank you enough,’ not realizing that it’s just an expression?”

Question Two: “Is it possible for one person to control forty World of Warcraft accounts at the same time?”

This is the story of Xzin, and his claim that he is going to attempt to answer Question Two.

Already known for his ability to wreck battlegrounds with his solo-controlled team of one priest and four mages, he’s looking to make a quantum leap forward in what’s called “multiboxing”.

The good news is that hardware, bandwidth, the $600 a month in subscription fees, and the introspection that makes the less intrepid man add “Should I do this?” to “Can I do this?” don’t seem to be an issue.

The bad news is that this pointless stunt completely lacks the upside of every other pointless stunt, which is to say that there is no chance hipster doofus David Blaine will be killed.
